The Scottish Masonic Charitable Foundation of Western Australia Inc. (SMC Foundation of WA) is a not-for-profit organisation that was established by the District Grand Lodge of WA in 2004. The aim of the SMC Foundation of WA is to provide financial and non-financial support to charitable and not-for-profit community organisations within the State of Western Australia whilst promoting the charitable work of Freemasons within our local communities.

The SMC Foundation of WA has identified two key support areas that it wishes to direct its support and funding to. These areas are: Men's Health and Youth Development.

Some of the organisations we have supported to date are:

  • Riding for the Disabled Association Brigadoon Centre - RDA Brigadoon provides therapeutic equestrian activities for people with disabilities and special needs.
  • Association for the Blind - Guide Dogs WA - provides life changing service to Western Australians living with blindness and vision impairment. They provide direct, individualised and group-based services to more than 4,000 clients each year.
  • Surf Lifesaving WA - provides an essential educational and emergency rescue service to all users of WA beaches and plays a fundamental role in building healthy communities.

The Foundation at the discretion of the Charitable Activities sub-committee and its Board of Directors allocates funding on an annual basis to worthwhile causes within our community. For more information about how you can apply for funding please click here.
