Charity does not diminish wealth.

Celebratory donations

There is an increasing trend in people requesting that guests give a charitable donation in their honor rather than purchasing a traditional gift for a celebratory event - whether it is a wedding, christening, birthday or even Christmas it is a good way to show your community spirit.

How to request guest make a celebratory donation in lieu of gifts:

If you are interested in requesting your guests make donations to the Scottish Masonic Charitable Foundation of WA in lieu of gifts we can organise brochures to be sent out with your invitations, simply contact us on 0433 707 716 or info@smcfwa.com.au.

Your celebratory donation will be processed in the following way

  • Letter Expressing Congratulations and Appreciation: The Scottish Masonic Charitable Foundation of WA will send a letter to the person(s) whom the gift is being made on behalf offering our congratulations and special thanks to those who have made the donation in their honor (the dollar amount is not mentioned).
  • Receipts for All Donors: Everyone who makes a celebratory donation is sent a letter of thanks and receipt, which can be used for tax purposes, if required.
