More and more Australians are deciding to leave a lasting legacy through bequests or charitable trusts in order to help those in need after they have gone.
By including the Scottish Masonic Charitable Foundation of Western Australia in your will you can make a difference to those in need within the community and make a difference to future generations. Donors can specify that their bequests be granted to nominated areas of the foundation.
You can bequeath cash, a specific sum, a percentage or the residue of your estate, jewellery, and works of art, shares and other goods.
We recommend that where appropriate you discuss your wish to make a gift to the Foundation with your family or loved ones so that your intentions are clear to all concerned.
The following wording can be used or adapted as necessary to write a new Will or add a codicil to your existing Will:
'I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH to the Scottish Masonic Charitable Foundation of Western Australia Inc, to be used for the general purposes of supporting and providing relief to the West Australian Community;
and I DECLARE that the receipt of the Treasurer or other authorized Officer shall be sufficient discharge to my trustees who shall not be obliged to see the application thereof.'
